If you produce, engineer, or even write music, you have come across an EQ & you probably know how important this tool is to shaping the sound & tone of your music. Even if you’re not an engineer, having some good EQs in your collection will be useful.
The makers of Auto-Tune recently dropped a brand new plugin called Vocodist. It’s basically a vocoder with Auto-Tune built inside of it, with a few extra features. Realistic breaks down how it works, what to use it for, & what his thoughts are on it! He even shows you a few cool little tricks you can use for it in modern songs.
The following areas are ballpark numbers & you will have to search somewhere between these areas. Some vocals may have these same issues, but at even lower or higher frequencies; each vocal is different. You won’t always need to cut every area either. Some vocals may need a cut in a certain area while some are best left alone in another area.
