These quick production tips will definitely save you time in the studio and improve your workflow.

Setting Up 808 Pitch Bends In Kontakt!

We know there's lots of different software’s out there & not everyone uses Kontakt. Some software’s or DAWs already have the default set to an octave.

That's not the case with Kontakt though, so if you do use Kontakt as your go to for 808s, this quick guide will help you get the most out of it!

Setting your pitch bend to an octave can keep your 808 bends in key with the song.

For instance, if your song is in a min & your pitch bend is set to 2, your 808 will be out of key if you bend on an "E" or a "B"
If your pitch bend was set to 3, your 808 will be out of key if you bend on a "C", "F" or a "G"

Other numbers will run into the same issues; however, an octave (12) is the safest bet!

Your bend will be the exact note that you played except an octave different.

An octave will also sound more drastic, so your 808 bends will have more movement & variation!
