Before the new trend of producer battles, there has always been the battle of the controllers. Not to be outdone by its competition, native instruments has announced two new upcoming products. Maschine MK3 and Komplete Kontrol Mk2.

What's new in Maschine MK3:

  • The most obvious change is the addition of two new higher resolution full-color LED screens for sample slicing, note editing, mixing and browsing.
  • The pads are now larger and placed closer together similar to Beatmaker 3.
  • It has a four-directional push encoder for browsing. And a touch strip for performing effects, pitch-bending and strumming notes.
  • It includes a dedicated function buttons for pad mode, keyboard mode, step mode and chord mode.
  • It comes with a built-in audio interface with line outputs and inputs, a first for the range. Giving you the ability to connect your monitor speakers without having to spend extra on a standalone unit a feature that even Ableton’s Push controller doesn’t have.

What's new in Komplete MK2:

  • Komplete Kontrol Mk2 comes with 17 additional function buttons.  
  • Two high-resolution color screens for browsing, previewing sounds, and more.
  • Improved hardware and software integration for your mixing, navigating, and editing projects directly from the Kontrol MK2.
  • The keyboards utilizes professional-grade Fatar keybeds. And the well-known Light Guide as seen in the first generation.
  • The Kontrol MK2 keyboards feature new pitch and mod wheels, plus a horizontal touch strip for additional expression.
  • Mk3 has been designed to work seamlessly with the new Komplete Mk2. The direction knob for scrolling across your tracks or up-and-down scenes and Ableton is a feature of the keyboard not maschine.
