Production Quick Tip of the Week #7
Limiters are synonymous with mastering & with today's current loudness standards, you definitely want to get the most out of your limiter without clipping. Limiters can cause non-musical frequencies to the audible signal which degrades the audio quality. Using the oversampling function on your limiter will allow for the limiter to have better accuracy & a better quality outcome. You will have to be careful when using oversampling though. It is very CPU intensive & it's usually best to apply at the very end just before you're about to export.
