Production Quick Tip of the Week #31
Bass lines can do so much more than just rattle a subwoofer. Basslines are important for creating a movement - both rhythmically & harmonically.
We want the bass to be felt in the low end, but how do we make sure it's heard? Searching between 600-900Hz can bring out some magic in the bass.
This is where a lot of the finger movement & sound of the strings are at. This frequency range will help with your bass line being heard within the mix & often times this frequency range won't be fighting with other important pieces in the mix.
