SYNC YOUR PRE-DELAY TO THE BPM

These quick production tips will definitely save you time in the studio and improve your workflow.

Syncing your Pre-Delay on your reverb to the BPM is one of the biggest cheat codes in the game.

As soon as you start to apply this technique, you will see instant improvements in your mix.

The long way to do this is to take 60,000 & divide it by your BPM. That gives you a quarter note; however, that's too long for your pre-delay setting.

A 32nd or 16th note is usually the best option. 7,500 is an 8th of 60,000. Using 7,500 will bring you right to a 32nd, which will save you time from dividing your result a bunch of times.

This technique also works really well for decay times! Try it out. We usually aim for a 16th or 8th note on our decay times.

We also have a few videos on our YouTube channel about reverb!

You can watch those here!
